1. If your child lies to you often, it is because you over-react too harshly to their inappropriate behavior.

यदि आपकी संतान आपसे अक्सर झूठ बोले , इसका कारण उनके अनुचित व्यवहार के लिए आपके द्वारा की गई कठोर प्रतिक्रिया होती है ।

2. If your child is not taught to confide in you about their mistakes, you've lost them.

यदि आपकी संतान उनके द्वारा की गई गुप्त ग़लतियों को आपसे सहभागी नहीं करती है , तो आपने उन्हें खो दिया है ।

3. If your child has poor self-esteem, it is because you advise them more than you encourage them.

यदि आपकी संतान में आत्म-सम्मान की कमी है तो इसका कारण आप उन्हें प्रोत्साहन से ज्यादा सलाह देते हैं ।

4. If your child does not stand up for themselves, it is because from a young age you have disciplined them regularly in public.

9. If your child is excessively jealous, it is because you only congratulate them when they successfully complete something and not when they improve at something even if they don't successfully complete it.

यदि आपकी संतान ईर्ष्यालु है तो इसका कारण आपका उनके पूर्ण सफल होने पर ही बधाई का पात्र मानना है परन्तु उनके आंशिक सफल एवं स्वयं सुधार होने की कोशिश पर नहीं।

यदि आपकी संतान जानबूझकर आपको परेशान करे तो इसका कारण उनके प्रति आपके भौतिक स्नेह का अभाव है ।

यदि आपकी संतान को सार्वजनिक रूप से उद्दंडता करने की आदत है तो इसका कारण आपके द्वारा खुलेआम कुछ करने की धमकी देना परन्तु कहे गए वचनों का पालन नहीं करना है।

12. If your child is secretive, it is because they don't trust that you won't blow things out of proportion.

यदि आपकी संतान व्यवहार में गोपनीयता रखती है तो इसका कारण उनके मन में आपके प्रति यह विश्वास की कहीं विचार ज़ाहिर होने पर आप उनके साथ क्रोधजनित व्यवहार तो नहीं करेंगे ।

13. If your child talks back to you, it is because they watch you do it to others and think its normal behavior.

यदि आपकी संतान आपके पीठ पीछे बात करती है तो इसका कारण उनकी नज़रों के सामने आपके द्वारा यही व्यवहार दूसरों के प्रति करना है और फिर उसे सामान्य समझना है ।

14. If your child doesn't listen to you but listens to others, it is because you are too quick to make decisions.

यदि आपकी संतान आपकी बात न मानकर दूसरों की सुनती है तो इसका कारण आपका अक्सर त्वरित निर्णय लेने की आदत हो सकती है ।

15. If your child rebels, it is because they know you care more about what others think than what is right or wrong.

यदि आपकी संतान अक्सर आपका विरोध करे तो इसका कारण है की वो यह जानते हैं की आप दूसरों की सोच का ध्यान में रखकर ही निर्णय लेते हैं फिर चाहे वो सही हो या नहीं।  

Change starts at home. Try a few if not all and see the sea change in the relations.

Causes of Miscarriages & Testing

Causes of Miscarriages & Their Testing:

Facing a miscarriage is one of the most painful emotional trauma that happen with a woman and her partner. For medical profession, miscarriages may be a routine or extremely common that lacking personal sympathy with the suffering couple.

Definition of a Miscarriage: 

A miscarriage or a spontaneous abortion, occurs when a baby (foetus) is lost spontaneously before the 24th week of pregnancy. Baby's death after this period is called a stillbirth.
Sometimes woman may feel normal and will not notice anything abnormal before a scan test confirms about baby's death. This type of miscarriage where the baby has not been expelled from the womb even after death is called as missed abortion.
In some cases, a fertilized egg developed poorly or in other words a undeveloped foetus which would show as a pregnancy in a scan test, but actually there would be no embryo. This is called as a ‘blighted ovum’.

Symptoms of a miscarriage:

In case of a miscarriage, a pregnant woman may experience:
- bleeding from the vagina, often containing clots
- blood in the vaginal mucus
- abdominal pain and/or cramping
- back pain

As per studies there is possibilities to decrease chances of loss and preventing miscarriage & simultaneously creating a well cultured, virtuous, majestic, vigorous, healthy, beautiful and extremely intelligent child.


Probable causes of miscarriages:


1) Genetic Cause
It is due to genetic defects in either the egg or the sperm, particularly when the couple are over 35 years. At higher ages, the eggs and sperm may not be as healthy as before. It is very possible to make healthier the reproductive system & boost health of sperm and egg by means of natural fertility lifestyle. It can be done by providing supplements and natural therapy treatments.

2) High Homo-cysteine level
Homo-cysteine is a sulfar containing amino acid naturally found in the body. When those levels goes high, probability of blood clot occurrence raises. This can further raises risk for a heart attack, stroke but it can also harm fetus. Study suggests that Homo-cysteine levels higher than ten increased a pregnant woman’s chance of a miscarriage.

3) Immunological Disorders
The body sometimes may attack the fetus or sperm; caused by natural killer cells. This is called an immune system based miscarriage. The  treatment options for this is medications organ transplant & employing some natural therapies.

4) Blood Clotting

a) Low progesterone
Progesterone preserves the uterine lining so the new embryo can attach and be nourished while the placenta is being formed. If progesterone is low the lining will shed, causing menstruation to begin.
b) High estrogen level can cause low progesterone.
c) High level of prolactin promotes milk flow for the new mother but it may also repress ovulation.
d) Insulin resistance (PCOS)
The women who are resist insulin are five times more likely to have a miscarriage. Imbalanced insulin levels due to PCOS make it difficult for the embryo to attach properly with the uterus.

6) Thyroid disorders
Thyroid disease ignorance can be a cause for infertility, miscarriage and second/third trimester loss. Thyroid testing must be done on pregnant women to determine for hypothyroidism's ill affect that may cause miscarriage.

7) Lu-teal Phase Defect
The lu-teal phase is the time period after ovulation in which the embryo is making its way through the Fallopian tubes and establishing itself into the uterine lining. A miscarriage could occur if Lu-teal Phase is too short for the embryo to implant and attach properly.

8) Anatomical Cause

Testing for Causes of Miscarriages:

Do consult a reproductive endocrinologist who is up to date with latest research being done for miscarriages.

1) Prothrombin Time
This test is to check the tendency of blood clotting & its speed while occurrence.

2) Thyroid Panel
Probability of a miscarriage can be reduced by testing & treating the thyroid problems while pregnancy period. Women with hypothyroid problem can have four times the risk of 2nd trimester miscarriage.
In terms of Thyroid (TSH) numbers; the normal range is between .3 to 3.0, need thyroid hormone medication when the TSH is above 2.0.

3) Karyotyping
Problems related with genetic structure can be assessed by means of Genetic testing of would be parents.

4) Fetal Tissue Testing
This is a chromosomal test done on tissues that can be collected to rule out genetic issues. This is particularly helpful in case of a recent  miscarriage and also having a D&C.

5) Hystero Salpingo Gram (HSG)
To asses probable causes of infertility or miscarriages, a dye is being injected into the uterus and x-rays are taken to see the shape of the uterus, blockages of the tubes, growths and other abnormalities. It is a painful test, but outcome is trustworthy.

6) Autoimmune testing
Testing for Anti Phospholipid Syndrome (APS), an autoimmune imbalance which causes the body’s immune system to react to certain normal substances in the blood. This increases the chance of forming blood clots. It is estimated that 10% – 25% of women with recurrent miscarriages have APS. Doctors will generally treat this condition with low-dose baby aspirin and injects of heparin (blood thinner) during pregnancy.

7) Progesterone Hormone Testing
Progesterone hormone helps to maintain the lining of the uterus. Its levels need to be tested as low level has been linked to miscarriage. It is been tested around 21st day of a 28 day cycle. This can be done by a RE visit.

गाय का घी एक अच्छा (LDL) कोलेस्ट्रॉल है। उच्च कोलेस्ट्रॉल के रोगियों को गाय का घी ही खाना चाहिए। यह एक बहुत अच्छा टॉनिक भी है।

Food Safety Principles and Practices

Food safety principles & Practices:

Health and wellness depends on biologically clean (free from chemicals like pesticides/insecticides, heavy metals, insects & microbes) food. The chemicals and toxins are unfortunately have become part of our routine consumable diet. Human eatable food chain is mostly affected by these hazards. 

Certain heavy metals present in the food may penetrate deep inside body with regular consumption
over the period of time. They might affect immune system, can be cause for cancers, impair nervous system function and can cause genetic abnormalities.
Water sources in absence of water treatment facilities get affected by hazardous chemicals like DDT, pesticides/insecticides/heavy metals like mercury, lead, cadmium; which further contaminate the crop cultivation soil. These hazards embed deep into the cells of consumable vegetables, fruits, cereals and pulses.

Chemical treatments is usually done to save crop from insects/worms which otherwise can be done by means of organic farming. Micro organisms like bacteria, virus, and cysts present on eatable fruits/vegetables/crops can be destroyed by cooking at high-temperatures.

With some awareness on our part, we can at least minimize the hazards by applying basic food safety mechanisms while handling them such as food selection from authentic origin, proper food processing, food items storage etc.

Pick right & healthy Food:

While purchasing any food item one should try & Check for its source (organic or chemically treated), harvesting methods adopted, mode of transportation etc. By doing this we can save our families from food-borne diseases.

Precautions that should be taken care of while food selection:
- Prefer to buy milk and related products that have been taken from healthy livestock with good movements.

- Prefer to avoid food items that have grown on crop fields that are irrigated with polluted or sewage water sources.

Food items storage:

Proper food storage helps to preserve the quality and nutritional value of the foods and prevents spoilage. It further can prevent food borne illnesses caused by harmful bacteria. Our storage system should support food items to keep them fresh, consumable, maintain nutritive value, taste & to give protection against attacks by microbes/insects.

Food items spoilage signs that make food unpalatable but not a bacterial hazard are the rancid odor caused by oxidation and the fermentation of fruit juices due to yeast growth. Off-odors in foods and a sour taste in bland foods can indicate dangerous bacterial spoilage. Food can be high in bacteria count even without such signals.

Food storage tips:
- Before cold storing vegetables/fruits do wash them thoroughly in water flow and then soak for about half an hour in salt water.
- Consume short shelf life vegetables such as green-leaf and fruits like banana, grapes etc. as early as possible.
- Use air-tight boxes to keep cereals & pulses to prevent them from flies and insects.
- Separate poultry/thaw food items from other food items while cold storage.
- Maintaining a clean refrigerator and freezer. Avoid over crowding the refrigerator. Arrange items such that cold air can circulate & affect each food item. Use freezer wrap,freezer-quality plastic bags, or aluminum foil on poultry that will be stored in the freezer for more than one month.

Cooking Food; keeping in mind Food Safety: 

- Fruits and vegetables should be washed in clean running water to remove surface dirt, chemicals and microbes.
- Soaking cereals, pulses and beans in clean water for half an hour before cooking them. This helps to initiate enzymatic activity, increases their nutritive value, digestibility and decreases cooking time/energy.
- Vegetables's fresh peel have lots of nutrients and fiber in it that should be cooked immediately after cutting them.
- Employ clean utensils to cook food preferably under steam pressure. This preserves food items of their nutrients value.
- Avoid deep frying at higher temperatures because that may converts unsaturated oil to more saturated Trans fats. 

For safe frying
- Use oils with low saturated fats like olive or soybean.
- Use low quantity oil and never reuse it. If frying requires more oil, then add fresh oil gradually as per requirement. 
- Keep constant appropriate temperature before putting food items for frying. Stir constantly while frying.
- Correctly Regulate the temperature of the oil as carefully as possible, avoiding hot spots and high flames.
- Frying at too low a temperature causes excessive absorption of oil by the food and the ultimately by the consumer.
- Opt the correct food to oil / fat ratio. Ideal is to fry 1 part of food in 6 parts of oil.
- Do not over fill fryers as the oil will expand when get heated and may immersed which increases the risk of burns.
- Once melted, the solid fat can be heat treated at normal frying temperature.
- Ensure that the food should be dry before frying. Wet foods breaks the oil create froth which is unsafe and wasteful.
- Clean the fryer from oil & food debris from utensils once cooking is over.


Food during Pregnancy:

It is important to learn about the type of food to be taken during pregnancy. We should learn about what not to eat & contradictions of food. We ought to know which food is not to be taken during pregnancy. There are certain types of food which make our blood impure and are the cause of abortion. Choice of wrong food will leave wrong impact on the developing fetus. There are few common things that we know. Like, taking clear butter with equal amount of honey will be harmful to eat. There are several food combinations that are not good for mother and the fetus. For example, Green leafy vegetables and milk are good to have separately. But they are very harmful when consumed together. Wrong food habits will always lead us to health problems. Lot of skin problems occur because of the wrong  combination of food. Purpose & Goal of life

In spite of being within the body, the Soul cannot exist as its integral constituent. The source of happiness lies within the Soul. The soul’s interest, therefore, consists in acquisition of spiritual merit (punya-prayojana). 
Interests of the gross body lie in a contrary direction; the external senses and the mind long for
worldly enjoyments to the maximum possible extent. By adopting this course of action, man spends his whole life trying to satisfy the insatiable appetites of the mortal body and, in the process, goes on sinning and accumulating demerits. The senses do get entertained this way, but the soul has to suffer both here and in the hereafter. When interests of the soul are catered to, the body is put to discomfort. It has to endure the rigours of austerity, sacrifice, continence, sense-control altruistic service, charitableness etc.
Thus, we find that interests of the body and that of the soul, are mutually exclusive; in the pleasure of one, lies the pain of the other.The soul derives immediate pleasure in righteous deeds (satkarma). Both in this world (loka) and the other (parloka), inner happiness depends on acts of righteousness. 
The simple and natural method of communication with God is in knowing one's true immortal Self, appreciating dignity of human life, finding out the specific role of human species in the creation of God, and thereafter start functioning without any ego-centered motive.
The conventional rituals of Sadhana like fasting, Jap, Anushthans, Yagya, etc. are beneficial as initial steps. To further enhance purity of mind, positive traits, nobility, lead to self Enlightenment, we have to reveals our identity as immortal Souls.

Mankind's Growth Aspect & Retrogression:
Spirituality aspects suggests that in the course of its progressive evolution, the Soul inhabits bodies with evolved birth as a human being.
Odds like lust, anger, greed, infatuation and cravings for pleasure keep body always entangled in the world of misery. In this ever-changing nature of material world, one can never have lasting peace and happiness. Throughout life body keeps on craving for more and more of what he considers pleasant and getting frustrated on denial of his wishes. The attachment to the pleasant and repulsion from the unpleasant are two root causes of retrogression.

If you are told to sit for meditation and are asked to conceive: 'I have died'. Then It would be impossible to think that you as an individuality have ceased to exist. It would not be difficult to have such a simple imagery for those who have been practicing the elaborate exercises of visualization. The moment one thinks about one's death, at the same time there is an awareness: 'I am standing aside looking at it.' This 'I' is ever vigilant, ever present. Try as one may, one cannot conceive the death of this 'I'- the seer. The analytical faculty of one's intellect thus insists that the Soul ('I') is immortal.

In this way deep within human consciousness is entrenched an unwavering faith in the immortality of the Soul. It is based on numerous past experiences of death (of the body) in earlier births, beyond which the Soul has continued to exist. When a person becomes unconscious because of a shock or under the influence of drugs, this 'I' remains wide awake and alert. Otherwise, on regaining normalcy, how could a concerned person know that he had been unconscious? Firm faith in one's real Self as indivisible, immortal and beyond the reach of physical, sensory perceptions, is an essential pre-requisite for starting on the path of Self-realization.

Soul the ever present witness:
Try as you may with the farthest range of imagination, you will never succeed in going beyond the Soul. You will never believe that this 'I' is ever non-existent. This 'I' (the Soul) is a drop of that absolute, indestructible, immutable, ocean of consciousness, which we call God.

Within a human being there exist, in dormant state, divine potentialities, seeking an outlet to manifest themselves in action. The inner powers can be accessed and made operative, although their mastery requires persistent, focused endeavor. After achieving the threshold of consciousness , the vision becomes clear and path becomes easy. In its original nature, the individual Soul (Atma) in each embodied being is an indivisible portion of the Absolute (Parmatma).

Individual’s place in Universe:
We are hardly aware of the movements of perpetually flowing natural currents of matter around us.
Everything in this world is undergoing a constant and unstoppable change. This is the absolute, immutable law of nature, governing not only the material world but also all realms of manifestation, including the spiritual.
The transmissions of energy from the human mind as impulses, desires, emotions, ideologies, thoughts, resolutions. These energy waves travel around the world without the help of any tangible medium. Ideologies of individuals get transformed into mass movements and revolutions. one feels unfit at a place where mass thinking by groups of immoral persons. Conversely one feels relaxed at a place of healthy entertainment and peaceful at a place of worship.
The mindset of man is always in a state of flux. The most hated enemy of yesterday becomes the most loved person of today. There are numerous examples of such transformations in the mindsets of individuals. It is because constituents of mental energy as old thoughts and ideologies are being perpetually replaced by new ones.

This world is an ocean of life and energy. The soul is progressively evolving in this medium and in this process taking what is necessary and discarding what is not. Each particle of what we call physical matter is also instinct with intelligence and life. It is following universal laws. Each particle is being sustained, activated, and made to act intelligently within a particular paradigm in this Universal Field of life and energy.

As a being we are dependent for our activities and very survival on this ocean of life. Particles of universally pervasive intelligence and energy, cosmic consciousness (Chetna) and life, are activating infinite systems, forms and forces of this cosmos.

Ultimate state of Self-realization:
The Soul has its immortal existence, but this is so in its inseparable relation to the Supreme Soul/Spirit (Parmeshwar). This is the ultimate state of unity. This is the ultimate level of Self-realization. On this level of transcendental consciousness, there is a clear perception that in the multitude of shapes and forms of animate and inanimate objects of the world is hidden reality of one Life, one Cosmic Force, and one Truth.


Attributes of an Enlightened person:

An enlightened person feels an intuitive affinity with everything in the creation. To him, nothing in the world appears alien, ugly, or unworthy of close intimacy He consider the nests of the birds equally significant as his residence. This enlightenment is not only essential for spiritual progress but also a necessity for the well-being and happiness of the world. It intuitively promotes the feeling of universal brotherhood. From this exalted level of consciousness, the awakened seer knows how to interact with equanimity under all circumstances. Once a seeker rises to this awakened awareness and vision, all attributes of nobility - love, compassion, selfless service, fearlessness, balance and poise - automatically become part of his nature and all traces of evil traits and impulses fall away.
